Catherine Ko, MS, RD, CDE earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from UCLA. After working for a few years, she pivoted towards her pursuit of becoming a Dietitian. Continuing the academic journey by earning her Masters degree in Nutritional Science, combined with a Dietetic Internship at Cal Poly-Pomona in 2012, she’s been working in a private outpatient clinic ever since. 2017 saw Catherine becoming a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE). Her primary areas of concentration lie in the fields of diabetes management, plant-based diets and evidence-based research of nutritional science.

In addition to her clinical work, Catherine participates in seminars and gives presentations at various community settings, as well as teaching Introduction To Nutritional Science at local colleges.

Catherine grew up in Taiwan and came to the United States with her parents. Taiwan is an island that shares many cultural aspects with China, including language and food. After also living for decades in Southern California, arguably the most diversified place on Earth, Catherine became insightful to diets from other ethnicity groups. She strives to promote the strength of different cuisines with other populations through her practice.

Catherine currently lives with her husband and two daughters just outside of Los Angeles, California. She is also a LA Clippers fan.
